Caol and Ben Nevis

Sunset view to Ben Nevis, Caol, Scotland. A stunning evening view from the Great Glen Way at Corpach toward Caol, the Nevis Range and Fort William. The Old Wreck of Caol draws many photographers and is a striking site. However, having visited the wreck site a few times before, I wanted to take a shot that was a bit more about the beautiful loch setting and mountain range than the wreck itself. I planned this shot and was conscious that the Nevis Range might be shrouded in cloud as it often is, but as the squalls moved away and the sun set, a beautiful scene appeared and it was a joy to capture.
