Sanna Bay

ABOUT THIS IMAGE

At first the scene looks like a relatively small rocky beach but Sanna Bay is far larger than it may first appear. In beach terms it is something of a wonderland. With small bays, rock pools and sprawling sands all at the same time, which change as the tides come and go. This shot is taken from a small hill halfway between Sanna and Portuairk on a magically clear day. A small climb but hugely rewarding as the view stretches out over the bay’s turquoise waters to the Small Isles of Rum, Eigg and Muck on the horizon.
